Marianne Thodas is an award-winning filmmaker and sound artist based in Vancouver, BC. Her film and sound work is ever evolving alongside her practice, shaped by ongoing personal, thematic, and technological experimentation. Her films have screened at festivals such as Ann Arbor, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, Antimatter [Media Art], Avant-Garde Cinema Screening, and Revolutions Per Minute. She is a co-founder of the Bucket Collective, teaches at the University of British Columbia, serves on the Board of Directors at UNIT/PITT, and is the Program Manager at DOXA Documentary Film Festival. Some of her films are currently distributed by the Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre.
